2 photos which were begging me to be edited, flipped and pinched to an inch of their life are being posted here.

Mark bought a new fishing rod which was supposed to be able to withstand a certain weight. This is me, being a guinea pig.

It's fun (but very tiring) to do the fake ads.

But if it makes you (or even if it's only Jonny), smile, it's worth it. =P


Dinner the other day at Shokudo (a Japanese version of Marche), was eventful.

We spent the dinner discussing about Qian Yi's new job, the Passion Run which both Mark and Qian Yi are taking part in etc etc.

It was a good time to catch up with friends, and also a photo oppurtunity for me to capture my friends back at home before i leave for another continent.

Mark has problems. He tears up way too much when he yawns, and he yawns alot. Expect to see waterfalls at about 4 in the afternoon and later in the evening. Mark looks quite sad here doesn't he?

Alright, now he looks too chipper.I think his face is very flexible, because he seems to be able to mold it into a wide array of expressions.

Which girl does not love shoes?I would DRIVE in those. It would be so fabulous. Plus i love horses, such a graceful animal. ADORE those "Horseshoes" at the back, primal yet wickedly delicious.

It was HARD trying to get a decent 3 people photo in that tiny space! I totally blocked Mark's face out. Just for laughs!

Ahh... there we go! Let's all say cats.

I will definately miss her. I enjoy talking to her. She's easy-going, and I can make her laugh. I love making people laugh. I forsee she's going to do great in her job (though it may be tough for now, we believe in you!).

I TOLD you. Look at that face! I can't do that! (and i won't, 'cos i'll look like really, really awful).
It's unfair that he morphs his face and still looks decent.

Mark and Qian Yi in Shokudo!! How did you guys find the food?

This expresses my sentiments towads the long lines of women standing in front of the toilet mirrors, entranced by their own reflection and ignorant of the other people who actually NEED to use the bathroom facilities for purposes other than vanity issues and ego boosting sessions.

Going out with friends... all you need are some good ones willing to do silly but fun things with you. We went out cycling from Changi to East Coast, but made a pit stop before East Coast to catch a beautiful scene with the trees along this canal area. The bulk of the photos were taken here as we waited for sunset and beyond. The woody areas looked best at night.

FUNNI-NESS

Real cool Mark... real cool...

Ok, this is gonna be needing some explaining. When Mark saw the canal and it's fishing potential, he made a call to his friend to discuss some sorta fishing thing. Jon, Loy and I decided to take some candid shots. The following is what followed. First picture... normal and nice!

Jon decided we all should point at Mark's butt in this shot as he wasn't looking...

Then THIS happened. It WAS NOT intentional. If only Mark did not turn! You can tell we really didn't know this was going to be a crotch shot till we reviewed the photos. And how come only MY FINGER IS VISIBLE?!!

haha. In Loy's words, I "always seem to catch Mark at his worst moments."

The name Mark means Great Warrior! He decided to buy a fishing rod that day, before we set off to cycle...

The Final Four

My First "Botanical Series", done entirely in pen, by hand. A project in conjunction with Mr. Loy Xing Wen.

Loy and I decided to come up with 4 different silhouettes, all of which were a plant. Loy came up with the Heliconia and Vanda, I with the Nepenthes and Lady Slipper (with his help). We made two copies of each shadow, our assignment was to fill them up in any way or style we desired.

This is my set of 4. We will set up a seperate blog for our drawings.

my eyes just did a backflip.

i FINALLY finished my drawings. i will post them tmr. i'm just too tired today.

ok. maybe finished is a strong word. some to me, are definately unfinished. i feel they need more. things?

Tembusu Girls

I do not know who these kids belong to, but they were the cutest tree climbers ever! This Tembusu (Fagraea fragrans) is the heritage tree (in Singapore Botanic Gardens, near Swan Lake) which was featured on the reverse side of our Singapore currency! Go check out your 5 dollar bills everyone.

I'm guessing they were sisters wearing similar outfits. The bark of the tree was smooth and felt wonderfully polished. Incidentally, i've noticed the tembusu trees flowering all over Singapore right now. I smell their fragrance during early morning and late afternoon, but the strongest whifs seem to be emitted during late evening. I love their flowers. Cream coloured wonders.

This post makes me feel nostalgic and sad for a reason i shall reveal another day.

I also mashed Visa's famous "priceless" ad and a message from PETA. Haha.

So i guess its a concoction of Kenneth Cole ad. styles, a dialogue from a Visa ad. and a slogan from PETA.
Cool? I hope so.
